I grew up in rural Michigan, graduated from College for Creative Studies in Detroit with my BFA and from Boston University School of Theology with my Masters of Divinity. I served for 25 years as an open and affirming United Methodist pastor and retired in 2021 to paint full time. I live in Vermontville, MI with my husband and dog. We have 4 sons, 3 daughters in law and 6 grandchildren.
Painting has been my passion for my whole life. I felt called to the pastoral ministry and served in 3/4 time positions so I had time to paint. I started painting prayers for my parishioners during my ministry and have continued painting prayers for my loved ones in retirement.
